Muslim Food Bank and Community Services Toronto is pleased to announce an ongoing collaboration with International Muslims Organization of Toronto (“IMO”) and Canadian Council of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah (“CCAS”) to distribute food hampers through their Table of Mercy program.
For the duration of Ramadan and beyond the COVID lockdown we will be providing a weekly drive through food hamper distribution at 65 Rexdale Blvd, Toronto.
This initiative constitutes providing healthy choices of staple food items, packed by the tripartite volunteer team.
Alhamdulillah, our launch saw forty hampers distributed on Sunday May 3rd, 2020!
Hampers will be available on Sunday afternoons for pick up. In order to comply with the Social Distancing and COVID19 by-laws in Toronto – packaged hampers are placed on the IMO parking lot curbside.
Persons in need are asked to call or text their name and family size to Habeeb Alli @ 416-823-1738.
Non-perishable food items can be dropped off on Saturdays from 2 pm to 4 pm at IMO 65 Rexdale Blvd, Toronto.
We are in this together! Our services are based upon the ASPIRE model that strives to empower clients with resources to alleviate the barriers of poverty. Without generous community members like yourself none of this work is possible.
